‘No Tomorrow’ Star Tori Anderson Makes A Splash with CBS Watch! Magazine

Bright young thing

Statuesque and photogenic, with a megawatt smile, Tori Anderson makes the perfect subject for a splashy poolside Watch! photo shoot. In these gorgeous web-exclusive photos, the blonde bombshell and star of The CW’s No Tomorrow, embodies living in the moment. In the series, Tori’s risk-averse and regimented character Evie Covington has traded caution for a more carefree life with the help of a free-spirited new friend. Get to know Tori in these fun interview nuggets and check out this lively behind-the-scenes video.

O Canada!

Tori Anderson was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The second youngest from a family of five children, Tori and her siblings grew up immersed in the arts and tasked with endless farm chores.

Natural talent

Tori Anderson got her acting start in her home country of Canada. At 15, she landed her first professional gig in a pilot episode of the sci-fi drama series Tru Calling. After high school, she moved to Toronto to pursue acting and received a BFA from York University’s Acting Conservatory.

Tori knows how to diversify

Her recent television credits include a recurring role as Sabine on Killjoys and a lead role on The Other Kingdom. On the big screen, Tori Anderson has appeared in the films Killing Daddy, The Mermaid Chair, To Have and to Hold and Cable Beach.

Character study

Tori Anderson and co-star Joshua Sasse went out to dinner a few times before shooting No Tomorrow just to get to know each other and help spark good onscreen chemistry.

Love connection

“Romance is what drags her in,” muses Tori about her No Tomorrow character Evie Covington. “It’s like an electric shock that surges through her body; she’s never felt that kind of connection with someone.”

Dress rehearsal

One of Tori Anderson’s favorite moments working on No Tomorrow: the first table read with the people behind the show, including co-creator Corinne Brinkerhoff and executive producer Scott McCabe. “It was amazing to hear the story come alive,” says Tori. “A great moment seeing all the characters who are so zany and fun become these three-dimensional people.”

Infectious attitude

Tori Anderson thinks that Evie Covington’s carpe diem awakening has a trickle-down effect with the other characters in the show. “You see them either breaking out of their shell or just going after what they want—not sitting back and letting their life pass them by.”

In real life, this “seize the day” attitude resonates with Tori Anderson and her acting career aspirations as well. “I’m so grateful it actually has happened, because there’s a lot of really talented actors out there that don’t get a shot and it’s sad,” she shares. “But you have to keep going after your dream, keep chasing it.”
